Hurtigruten unveils revamped, well-organized Web site featuring visitor-friendly navigation, a wealth of information, cruise videos, and virtual tours of its ships.
Hurtigruten has unveiled a much-improved web site catering to consumers and travel agents and featuring a fresh design and easy to use navigation capabilities — allowing visitors to pinpoint their interests faster, offering itinerary details, pricing information and helpful hints.
The web site, www.Hurtigruten.us, offers homepage hyperlinks that guide users to all the offered destinations, cruise packages, price ranges and savings opportunities, interactive tours of their fleet of modern cruise ships, and videos depicting many of their cruise destinations. The homepage also links to a brochure request section; a “Find a Travel Agent” search engine; current press releases; travel insurance information; a real-time map with up to the minute ship positions; ship web cams; and an offer to sign up for E-newsletters.
The robust site organizes cruises by destination — Norway, Greenland, Spitsbergen, Europe and Antarctica — where only two clicks of the mouse offers up all of the details of any specific cruise: day-to-day itinerary, optional excursions, pricing and departure dates, historical information and travel tips, and any early-booking offers or other savings programs. An excursions link, pertinent to each itinerary, offers details on both the included excursions and sightseeing as well as a host of optional forays.
Hurtigruten sets the standard for expedition cruises — offering journeys to the world’s most remote destinations — as well as continuing to build on its near 120-year history of providing daily cruising along Norway’s spectacular fjord-filled, 1,250-mile west coast. So, whether it is penguins in Antarctica, polar bears on the Arctic island of Spitsbergen, exploring the ice-covered environs of Greenland, or standing on the North Cape Plateau to watch the hours-long sunsets of the Midnight Sun, cruisers looking for that trip of a lifetime have a wonderful resource at Hurtigruten’s new web site.
