Norwegian solar energy equipment producer Renewable Energy Corporation said the market for solar wafers will remain weak in 2010 and force it to continue to re-negotiate more contracts, hitting its shares, reports Reuters.
The solar energy industry has been hit hard by an overcapacity of cells and modules this year as well as falling demand due to the global downturn.
